Exciting Mail

When I was a child I loved the¬†excitement of receiving mail through the post! It didn’t happen often, but when it did it was so exciting. I think that it was the pure novelty of recieving a letter to read rather than just hearing those words spoken – and the fact that everyone else seemed to get post all the time! I have a little bit of nostalgia for the way the¬†letters I received were¬†hand written, on pretty¬†paper, or note cards. In an era of emails and social media, that type of mail is unfortunately uncommon.

Now I’m an adult (ok, I suppose now I’m over 30 it’s about time I accepted it), getting mail through the post isn’t really the same. The novelty has certainly worn off now that the average content of what falls onto my door mat generally consists of household bills, charity shop clothes bags, boring looking mail for the previous house owner and takeaway menus.

Today however I was very excited to recieve pretty looking mail, and I was even more excited to open it and find my VIP Paper Girls membership card! Paper-Girls-Montage

Thanks to the very lovely Lucy Ledger and Abigail Warner who continue to support and mentor all of us lucky ladies starting out in stationery design. Big thanks and lots of love to you both – you can find out more about the delightful duo’s business¬†venture¬†on their Paper Girls mini site.

I now plan to go and browse through the fab benefits and discounts I can access through my VIP membership (mini whoop!). I will also be sure to be true to my love of exciting mail and ensure all of my own correspondence is as pretty and exciting as The Paper Girls!

Check back in again soon for my next post where I’ll be sharing some of the pretty pearl inspiration that has influenced several of the recent design collections. Until then, take a look around the site and see what I have to offer – remember if there is something you like and you want it altered to fit a different¬†occasion, I can personalise designs to fit your requirements. See details on how to purchase a sample to order a sample of any design on the site¬†…I promise to make sure that when you recieve my sample through the post, it¬†captures a little of the nostalgia I feel for pretty paper and exciting mail!
