Colour Crush – Radiant Orchid & Orange

Today’s colour crush combines two of the biggest colours of 2014 to give you a beautiful bright palette of pretty.

Pantone’s colour of the year for 2014 is Radiant Orchid, which is regal and romantic in the same breath. Add accents of orange which last week swept the Autumn/Winter 2014 catwalks in London Fashion Week, and you come up with a colour palette that’s both romantic yet vibrant, sophisticated and striking.

What’s even more fabulous is that this wonderful cocktail of colour is at the heart of my current Bright Bouquet Collection. Give your guests a taste of your beautiful wedding colours through stunning personalised save the dates and invitations. Complement your special day itself with matching stationery including menu’s, placecards, seating plans and favour tags. Pop over to the full collection here.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on today’s colour crush… leave me your comments below.

My Little Corner of Spring

As I woke up this morning it made a wonderful change to be greeted by sunshine streaming in through the gap in my curtains. I could see a peak of bright blue sky through them too, which immediately put me in a good mood for the day ahead.

Ok so it’s not a hot summers day (and yes, I’m very jealous of my Dad & Step Mum currently sunning themselves in the Caribbean!) but after all the recent rain and snow, a cold crisp sunny morning, with the sun shining and not a cloud in sight, is definitely a welcome change and a sign that spring may be on it’s way! It got me onto thinking about all those lucky brides out there that were going to get such beautiful spring sunshine for their wedding day… lucky lucky ladies!

Well, about three hours later, the sun was gone and the clouds had drawn in, but it still didn’t stop my springtime dreaming, so today I wanted to share some of the beautiful spring wedding inspiration out there!

{Source and Photography Credits below}

1. What a wonderful way to bring spring into your special day than through a woodland archway or entrance. This whimsical styling featured on Martha Stewart Weddings and shot by Bryan Gardner gives a beautiful relaxed setting, with the pretty daisy like blooms bringing a hint of springtime indoors.

2. Pretty pastel cake-pops from Sarah & Jordan’s wedding as featured on Martha Stewart Weddings, shot by Simply Bloom Photography, sing Springtime in any party setting, and would make a lovely favour on a simple styled white table setting.

3. Daisy style chrysanthemums in butter-cream make lovely homespun centrepieces with linen tableware and ceramic jars ‚Äď these ones were featured on A Rosy Note from Tricia‚Äôs own photography.

4. A DIY spring treat with the clever ‚ÄėMint To Be‚Äô labels on packets of mints. Their packaging featuring pops of spring green and yellow colours. You can find this DIY article on Clever Wedding Ideas.

5.  This beautiful Carolina Herrera Spring 2013 gown is fit for a princess, and perfect for springtime. (Photography by Dan & Corina Lecca Photography)

6. When I saw this lovely blue amethyst pendent it reminded me of one left to me by my gran when I was young. What a pretty way to add some spring colour to an ivory wedding gown. Jewellery by LivBridal in their Etsy shop.

7. Soft flowing materials in pastel shades make for perfect bridesmaid dresses for a Spring Wedding. These perfectly pretty maids dresses are featured on Once Wed, Photography by  Jose Villa.

8. I just adore the simplicity of this beautiful table styling from The Sweetest Occasion photographed by ngg studios. Crisp white table linen with pops of yellow blooms ‚Äď if you check out the whole photo shoot there are accents of midnight blue that create a great way to bring spring into more traditional navy blue colour scheme.

9. I came across this great photo on Once Wed. The Forage collection from Something’s Hiding In Here, captures these playful pastel bowties perfect for spring grooms and groomsmen!

10. More beautiful spring table styling and blooms photographed by Shannon Cunningham featured on Style Me Pretty. I love the vintage books amongst the spring flowers!

11. What better way to bring Spring into your special occasion that by outdoor photography? This pretty woodland engagement shoot from John Roberts Wood Photographer captures a fresh spring influence, before the lucky couple’s big day.

12. Pretty parasol décor like this example from Glamour & Grace hints at seasons to come!

13. Seasonal Spring blooms shot beautifully by Chelsea Fuss and featured in her blog make a beautiful Spring wedding palette for any occasion.

So many fresh spring colours and influences, alongside softer pastel pretties‚Ķ these were several of the influences in creating¬†A Whole Lot of Lovely’s¬†most recent collection of wedding stationery. The Daisy Daisy design range captures the fresh greens and yellows of springtime making it a perfect choice for couples marrying in Spring or Summer.

The soft pretty pastels in my inspiration board are also captured perfectly in my Ribbon & Pearls design range. Pinks and pale lavenders are combined with vintage prints and lace doily motif to create a beautiful collection for couples wanting to add a touch of springtime pastel to their wedding.

To see the full collection, nip over to the Wedding Stationery page of my site, and by clicking on the invitation you can see both ‚Äėbefore the day‚Äô and ‚Äėon the day‚Äô stationery in these pretty designs.

While the weather is due to turn again later this week, I hope my little corner of springtime inspiration brightens your day… I know it has mine!
