Lots of Lovely Best Bits – w/c 09.09.13

A Whole Lot of Lovely has been super busy this week. Amongst the orders I have been busy finishing off and shipping a fabulous Glorious Gatsby order for a Gatsby themed American Wedding, and some beautiful Save the Dates with a Vintage Beetle twist! Keep an eye on my facebook pages for pics after the couples have shared them with their guests.

Amongst all the pretty paper fun, I’ll be heading up north to Newcastle for the Great North Run this weekend, so today’s post has been scheduled ready for you as I watch the start of the race… I’m sure I’ll be pretty jealous that I couldn’t take part this year – it’s such a fantastic atmosphere up there and the feeling of achievement when you cross that finish line can’t be matched!

So hopefully whilst I’m stood in the cold, you’ll be nice and warm at home, so sit back with that Sunday brew and have a look at some of the best bits I’ve picked out to share with you this week. Enjoy!

Ooh La La – Pretty Parisian

Vintage-Parisian-Collection-Montage

So by now you know my love of all things pretty vintage. This week‚Äôs blog post is on the back of a new range I’ve recently designed that is being launched into the collection – Vintage Parisian.

One of the many reasons I love weddings so much is the romance of it all! Who doesn’t enjoy – or at least get a little bit of a warm feeling – from seeing two people in love and sharing such a happy day?! The romance in a wedding can come across in every element – from the colour scheme, to the bridal wear, the venue, to the table styling, the vows and the speeches.

Before the day and on the day stationery is by no means an exception. Getting the right stationery to reflect your personal style or the themes or feel of any event is the best way to give your guests a little taster of what’s to come… and who wouldn’t want their guests to get a teenie bit excited about their special day?! Before the day stationery (your invitations and information) is to your wedding or special occasion what a prologue is to a book, or a trailer is to a film. It’s the little free samples of goodies they give out before launching a new product – ok so that example isn’t quite as romantic!

Where in the world can you get more romantic inspiration from than France and the city of Paris?! It may be a clich√© but as I developed my most recent collection I drew a lot of inspiration from pretty vintage Parisian design for its Romantic feel and ornate detailing. French fragrance bottles, aged Parisian menu’s, vintage Parisian soaps… the pretty botanical and floral motifs, along with the soft pastel colours sing romance and bring a softness to any occasion – just perfection for a wedding.

I’ve become addicted to French wedding blog http://www.frenchweddingstyle.com/. The site covers everything from independent French wedding suppliers to destination wedding brands with a particular penchant for shabby chic, rustic and Parisian chic style genres. I’d definitely recommend a peak!

In a true ‘A Whole Lot of Lovely’ spirit of sharing my design inspiration with you, here are some of the lovely images from my Pinterest boards that helped inspire the Vintage Parisian collection…

You can see more of the images that inspired my recent collection over on my Vintage Parisian inspiration board over on Pinterest.

With a full wedding stationery suite available the Vintage Parisian collection is perfect for any wedding couple looking to incorporate an element of romance into their special day. It works well with vintage, shabby chic and floral styling genres, and the background colour lends itself to a mint colour palette. I can also offer a colour change for more of a rose blush / pink scheme.

As with all of my stationery, if you like a design and want to use it for any other type of special occasion I can do that for you too – so if you have a forthcoming birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion this design can be personalised to suit.

Check out the whole of the Vintage Parisian collection on the Wedding Stationery pages of my site.

I hope you’ve enjoyed sharing a little Parisian romance today. Until the next post, au revoir!
